030 - Monkey Musings, Spooky Shows, and Disturbing Animal Anatomy

Brandon and Sarah speculate in a less than informed manner about whether monkeys and apes could still evolve in the shrinking, remote, wild places of the world. They also discuss and partially review “The Haunting of Bly Manor” (SOME SPOILERS!), and generally rip on shows that drag on for far too long. Finally, they wrap things up with some delightfully scarring facts about the reproductive habits of certain freaky creatures.

• Correction to Sarah’s horrible recollection (to be fair, she was just a teenager when she read the book and saw the movie): The gorillas in Michael Crichton’s “Congo” were not “evolved,” but were instead highly aggressive gorilla/chimpanzee/human hybrids, bred by the ancient inhabitants of the nearby lost city, Zinj, and were white, bordering on having albinism
